Why Modern Languages? | Why Our Program?
- Foreign language skills open opportunities for work in other parts of the world and help you connect with other places and cultures.
- We offer five concentrations in modern languages: French, Francophone studies, Latin American studies, Portuguese and Spanish.
- Our minors are available in all of the above, plus Italian. Courses in Arabic, German and Russian are also available.
- Topics covered in the include: applied grammar, conversation and composition, cultural anthropology, global politics, international literature and world history.
Our Shinn Study Abroad Fund provides scholarships for students to travel for learning experiences in countries around the world.
