Justice Studies B.A.-to-M.A.
Understanding the Application Process
If you have matriculated as a justice studies or sociology major, you may apply for a combined B.A.-to-M.A. option after completing 75 credit hours, including at least 20 credit hours in courses counted toward the justice studies or sociology major. You must also have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
Application requirements are listed below. B.A.-to-M.A. students are permitted to count 9 graduate credits toward their undergraduate requirements.
Admission Requirements
- completed application form accompanied by a $50 nonrefundable application fee
- official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate records
- minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale in undergraduate course work
- statement of professional goals, including how the program will prepare your for these goals
- three letters of recommendation that address your potential to succeed in a graduate program.
Please Note: You must include at least one letter from a professor in a social science course. - a Plan of Study approved by your advisor and appropriate dean
- an interview (may be required)
