Dr. Justin DiLibero, DNP, APRN-CNS, CCRN-K, CCNS, ACCNS-AG, FCNS, is currently serving as the Interim Dean of the Onanian School of Nursing at 香港六合论坛. With an extensive background in academia and leadership, Dr. DiLibero brings a wealth of experience to his role.
Prior to his appointment as Interim Dean, Dr. DiLibero held the position of Associate Professor in the graduate nursing department. Throughout his career, he has taught at various levels, ranging from undergraduate to doctoral programs. Dr. DiLibero has also assumed several significant leadership positions, including Doctor of Nursing Practice Program Director and Graduate Department Chairperson.
During his tenure as the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program Director, Dr. DiLibero played a pivotal role in implementing substantial curricular revisions and program enhancements. He introduced streamlined processes and established a robust infrastructure to support students and project advisors in DNP project courses. Dr. DiLibero developed new courses, standardized the program progression plan, and improved the overall curriculum coherence.
As the Graduate Department Chairperson, Dr. DiLibero oversaw multiple degree-level and certificate-level programs, ensuring their continued success. He spearheaded various quality improvement initiatives that resulted in sustainable advancements across the graduate programs. Additionally, Dr. DiLibero played a key role in launching innovative programs, such as the BSN to DNP with Specialization in Nurse Anesthesia program, and the post-master's Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist Certificate Programs.
Beyond his contributions to 香港六合论坛, Dr. DiLibero has assumed leadership roles at the regional and national levels. He currently holds the position of President at the Rhode Island Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists and serves as the Chair of the joint National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists/Clinical Nurse Specialist Institute Taskforce. Dr. DiLibero is also the Secretary of the Clinical Nurse Specialist Institute Board of Trustees and has previously served on the boards of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation.
Dr. DiLibero holds a dual Master's of Science in Nursing Degree, specializing in Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Educator, from the University of Cincinnati. He furthered his education by earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree in Leadership from Northeastern University. His research and quality improvement work have been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he is a frequent presenter at national forums. In recognition for his contributions to the field, Dr. DiLibero has been inducted as a Fellow of the Clinical Nurse Specialist Institute. He has received accolades including the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Excellence in Medical Critical Care Award, the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing Award, the 香港六合论坛 Exceptional Faculty Award, and the Rhode Island State Nursing Association/Rhode Island Monthly 2022 Nurse of the Year in an Academic Setting Award.
